5 Wii games you should be playing
68We've all heard of Nintendo Wii; It is currently leading the (seventh) generation (of all home consoles; PS3 and X360) in terms of sales (worldwide).
It also has a great library of games that holds classics, like Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Mario Kart Wii and Super Mario Galaxy. There are more epic games, of course, but what of the ones that stands in the shadow?
"Like which?", you might ask. Good question.
You see, there are 5 Wii games that either should've gotten less hate and/or more attention. In this hub, I will present to you (in my personal opinion, mind you), these games that can kill your boredom for weeks. Maybe even months.... if you're a slow player.
5. Punch-Out
If you've played the original, then you will love this "remake". If you've always wanted to whoop butts, here is your chance. If you're a fan of boxing, this would be a great gift that your partner, friend or relatives can give to you. It holds several modes like Career Mode and Title Defense Mode. You play as Little Mac, fighting to the very end willing to be the champion of them all.
Hint: Prevent losing when you reach the "Last Stand" mode (this can be unlocked after completing Title Defense Mode). After three losses, you'll have to repeat the entire Career mode again. Sucks, right?
It's a fun, addictive and hilarious game to own and play. I feel this game deserved more attention than it received; It might have flaws, but it's still worth it.

4. Onslaught (WiiWare)
An excellent WiiWare game that's worth buying. With 14 missions to struggle (because it is difficult, even if you are on easy mode) with, and plenty of sweet weapons to choose from, this is definitely one game that will keep you playing for hours. Graphics are solid, and gameplay is pretty strong (although aiming with the Wiimote can be shaky at times).
I have three (simple) reasons on why you should be playing this game:
One, because if you like games that are challenging, this is for you.
Two, it's capability of online gaming (with very few lags) makes it simply one of the best titles available in the Wiiware section.
And three, game's price is just $10 bucks (1000 points) which makes it even sweeter.

3. Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga
It's just a hell of a cute game. Now, you can play all six episodes in one game, plus with new characters to play with (e.g. Indiana Jones!) and exciting new missions to enjoy! Some of the missions has been redesigned (like the Mos Espa Podrace chapter on Episode I) and another noticeable detail is that the music in Episode III is no longer the soundtrack of the "original" trilogy. Now, it plays the soundtrack from the Episode (III) itself. The coolest thing about the game (in my opinion) is the addition of force choke and lightning! I've always wanted to do that...
Sure, it can get a little repetitive over time, but it will still keep you playing for quite a while. It's an excellent game to play with kids, family and friends. It's not a masterpiece, but worth getting for giggles and pure "kiddy" entertainment.
Watch a bit of Episode I: The Phantom Menace!
2. Final Fight (Virtual Console)
Ok, I know what you are (possibly) thinking. It might've been originally released on the Super Nintendo, but since it is available on the Virtual Console section, it's a little sad to see how it hasn't received much attention.
If you managed to play this game back in '89, nostalgia will whoop you silly in an instant.
It's an addictive side-scrolling fighting game that it will not be necessarily easy to beat. If you're not used to play these type of fighting games, it might a little rough to get used to at first. But don't worry, I'm telling you this because it applies to me; maybe it won't happen to you... at least I think so.
You can play two characters: Haggar, a wrestler whose daughter is kidnapped by a vicious street gang and Cory, who helps Haggar find her daughter. These two have very different abilities, allow me to explain it this way: If you've played Street Fighter, Haggar is similar to Zangief while Cory is similar to Ryu and Ken.
How so? Well... reason is because Capcom originally did Final Fight as a sequel of the first Street Fighter game, but at the last moment, they changed their minds... did you knew about it?
Anyway, it's a fun game worth buying and playing. I strongly recommend you getting it.
Observe a bit of the gameplay:
1. Sonic and the Secret Rings
For me, this was one Sonic game that (besides Colors) was quite entertaining. The Sonic franchise has been in ups and downs these last few years, and lately, their games released for the Wii has been pretty promising. This one, while the missions are tough (because sometimes the Wiimote might not respond to our actions, causing Sonic to hit himself, miss rings and/or fall), the beautiful graphics and curious plot makes it one of the best Sonic games available.
It's a game that kids (I consider) might have a bit of difficulty playing it (I recommend Sonic Colors if you're looking for a game in where controls are more manageable for them) but teenagers and adults will be killing their boredom with this fun, frustrating (at times) yet addictive Wii game.

I wish that these games are good choices for you to go ahead, run to a store, and buy these (wherever it's for you, a friend, or your kids). If you aren't pleased with these, read on:
There are three (more) games that I believe are worth getting, and has not received much love or attention are:
Metroid: Other M
Battalion Wars II
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II
Thanks for reading, and happy game hunting!
